Thirty-one were killed, while 94 were injured at Urumqi, at 7:50 am yesterday. I still remember that more than 200 people were killed in the same city in 2008. Every person is a life, which has been composed by his or her parents, stayed in the body of his or her mom for 9 months, and then became a baby, a toddler, then a kid, then... Each person relates to many, many different people and families. And, for no reason, they were killed or injured, their life ceased, or they became paralyzed. I am so sad about these people.  What can we do? What can our government do? Best wishes to you, to me and to people who are affected by terrorism. |

religion, ethnic group, territory, resource, culture, history, human rights, women/gender equality, violent, peace, development, civilization, harmony, those are simple keywords. But those are really complicated knitted into the reality. Countries as strong as USA can not solve it. When 9/11 happened, there are so many Chinese feel joy. Now, I think we finally came to same page, terrorism is a global issue. How to solve it will take very very complicated effort, and no gaurantee that we will be free of it in the near future. Its just like cancer cells, which will haunt us for a long long time to go, we have to live with that. Isolation is not a solution, i think. Government is not the only solution. If we allow government to use its power without third party monitoring, we might fall into another hole. I still believe dialogue, education, interaction is a slow, yet better approach. I am glad the central government announced the south Xinjiang will allow free education until high school, mandatory job oppertunity for at least one family member, etc. etc. those are good policy, at least judge from the words, i dont know how well it can be implemented in reality. May peace embrace every single soul on earth. |

I hope the gov may do something to make us feel that we are protected and supported all the time while living in our country. But right now What I can do is trying to make our family being away from any risk. [ 发自小木虫客户端 ] |
