1.Prove the statement made in Sec. 4-10 (흡수인자 Absorption factor) that the effective irradiated volume of a flat plate specimen in a diffractometer is constant and independent of Q.


2. A certain tetragonal crystal has four atoms of the same kind per unit cell, located at 0 1/2 1/4, 1/2 0 1/4, 1/2 0 3/4, 0 1/2 3/4. (Do not change axes.)

(1) Derive simplified expressions for F2.
(2) What is the Bravais lattice of this crystal?
(3) What vare the values of F2 for the 100, 002, 111, and 011 reflections?
