1.off the beaten path 很少有人去的 A： when should i eat when i travel to NYC next month? 我下月去纽约，推荐几个就餐的地方吧？ B: all of my favorite places are off the beaten path. you won't find them in the guide books. they had the best food that New Yorkers like to eat too! 我喜欢吃的那几个地方很少有人去的。你在旅游指南里面可找不见它们。那里的食物棒极了，就连纽约本地人都喜欢去吃。 2. over run 人太多 A: Julie told me i should get dinner at times square! it's really famous , right? 朱莉告诉我说我应该在时代广场吃晚饭！那里的食物很有名，是吗? B: no way. times square is so overrun with tourists! try some of my favorites spots in Brookyn or the East villages. 别呀，时代广场那儿游人太多，你要不试试去布鲁克或者东村吃去，那里是我最喜欢去的地方。 3.local A: when you visiting NY, you gotta eat like a local. the independent bagel, and pizza shops in my neighborhood are the best. 你去纽约的话，就应该入乡随俗，吃的像当地人一样。我们社区那儿的面包小店，披萨店都是最好的。 |
