Abstract : Morita-Baylis-Hillman (MBH) reaction is a  kind  of effective synthesis  reaction of carbon - carbon bond formation  to generate  multiple functional group molecules which has absorbed more and more attention of chemists of various field  since 1980s. Being the polyfunctional compound formation  reaction of  aldehyde and  active polyene,MBH reaction is characterized with the   basic  features of high efficient synthetic methods such as  reaction selectivity ( chemical , regional , diastereomeric and mapped ) , atom economy , mild reaction conditions and the product have many functional groups which can  further convert to other groups . Many published high level  review articles after the year of 2000  indicated  the great expectation  and development potential of  MBH  reaction  in organic synthesis. Recently , studies of the reaction , in particular small molecule -catalyzed MBH reaction is very active .Hower , MBH reaction has its own  drawbacks, such as slow reaction rate , lower  conversion efficiency , fewer reaction substrates . To overcome these shortcomings ,  a two-step reaction of aldehydes derived MBH carbonate was invesgated  ,which is  the  fundamental research of further  MBH allyl carbonate alkylation study.
