Call for Papers, Workshop Proposals and Doctoral Consortium

CloudCom is the premier conference on Cloud Computing worldwide, attracting researchers, developers, users, students and practitioners from the fields of big data, systems architecture, services research, virtualization, security and privacy, high performance computing, always with an emphasis on how to build cloud computing platforms with real impact. The conference is co-sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), is steered by the Cloud Computing Association, and draws on the excellence of its world-class Program Committee and its participants.

Manuscripts need to be prepared according to the IEEE CS format, for regular papers, the page limit will be 8 pages. Distinguished papers will be invited to be included within a number of special issues in prestigious international journals.

CloudCom 2014  Call for Workshop Proposals

CloudCom 2014 is soliciting proposals for full-day / half-day workshops to be held in conjunction with CloudCom 2014 in Singapore from December 15-18, 2014. We invite you to submit proposals on any topic related to the broad set of research and application areas covered by CloudCom.  Workshops can be used to publish early results and to conduct teaching and provide hands-on experience for topics of interest. A workshop proposal should include the following information:
 Workshop title and organizer's contact information.
 Motivation, rationale and coverage of the workshop.

For regular workshops, a draft Call for Papers, as complete as possible.
For teaching workshops, a draft of the syllabus.

 The workshop deadlines, both internal and external.
 Workshop format, i.e., expected number of participants,  submitted and presented papers, invited talks, panels, demonstrations, etc.
 Prior history of this workshop, if any, including number of submissions, acceptances, and attendees.

Call for Doctoral Consortium
The Doctoral Consortium at the IEEE International Conference on Cloud Computing Technology and Science (CloudCom) provides a forum for students in all area of Cloud research to discuss their topics with other Ph.D students and with established researchers in the area, and to receive feedback and advice on their Ph.D research works. The consortium also offers graduate students an opportunity to make useful contacts regarding future career opportunities related to their research.
Selected students will be invited to present an oral presentation on their ongoing research.

SUBMISSION:
Authors are invited to submit papers not exceeding 6 pages in 2-column IEEE format including all figures and references. The papers should be structured as technical papers and should include the author & advisor(s) names and affiliations. Each submission must be accompanied by an official signed letter of the official PhD advisor(s), endorsing the submission of the Ph.D student and verifying that the applicant is a full-time student. Submitted papers will be judged on correctness, originality, technical strength, significance, and quality of presentation. Papers should be prepared as the .pdf files and submitted electronically via EasyChair.

PUBLICATION
The proceedings of the doctoral consortium will be published as part of CloudCom2014 Proceedings through the IEEE Computer Society Conference Publishing Services, and will be distributed electronically at the conference.
