[求助] 收到了一个offer，但不确定这算不算正式的呢？另外请教几个问题，谢谢各位先已有7人参与

联系了一个教授，要了推荐信，然后回复说对比一下几个候选人再来决定，过了大概一周的样子，就收到了这样一封标题为我的姓_offer_letter.doc 的word文档，有学院的Logo，另外后面有教授联系方式之类，但是没有手写的那种签名，不知道算不算正式的呢？内容大致如下：

Dear Dr.** ,

I am very impressed with your credentials and references.  I think you would be an outstanding addition to my research group.  I am pleased to offer you a full time Postdoctoral Associate appointment in my laboratory in the Department ## at ## University starting June 1, 2014.  The position is for a yearly salary of $##.

Your employment is contingent on a standard, satisfactory background check.  Continued employment will be contingent on satisfactory performance and availability of funds, and is renewable annually by mutual agreement.  Most of my postdoctoral associates have stayed for at least two years.

While employed, you will be eligible for University benefits, and subject to all applicable University policies and procedures.  Please understand that your employment at ## University is at-will and neither this nor any other oral or written representations may be considered a contract for a specific period of time.

To accept this appointment, please sign and return a copy of this letter.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact me

不知道这算不算正式的offer呢？是不是我要在这个文件上搞上签名发回去才能得到正式offer文件呢？

由于6月1号这个时间很紧，我就联系了他问是不是可以延后一些，他回信说可以的，没问题，问我大概什么时间可以去。我就回复了我可能去的时间段，之后过了几天暂时没收到回复，也不知道我是不是没按流程来，希望得到大家的指点，谢谢！另外老婆暂时没找到位置还，希望带老婆一起过去，是什么时候告诉教授合适呢？
