编辑邀请做Analytical methods 的封面，各位大虾有遇到这种情况的吗？我该不该接受 已有2人参与

发表在RSC上Analytical methods 的文章接收了，前天编辑发信邀请做封面，各位大虾有遇到这种情况的吗？编辑写了很长的一封信，大意是我的文章被审稿人和编辑评价很好，因此邀请我做封面，让我设计封面/封底，但是要收费，1000英镑，但是我都不太想做，个人觉得这篇文章创新型有限，第一次投时一个审稿人直接给拒了，说创新型不好，但是提了很多细致的问题，另一个说好，提了很少的问题。主编折中了下让我重投。按照审稿人的要求认真回答了问题后重投，不到半个月就完全接收了，现在在等清样。结果前天收到编辑部的Cover invitation，老公（和我同专业的）说一定要做封面，说封面文章很有分量，再多钱也要做。可是我觉得，第一：个人觉得文章的创新性不是太好，很久以前的文章了，审稿也不顺，个人觉得是不是编辑会给发在Analytical methods上的很多作者发信邀请做封面，起码概率很高，我因该不会是那唯一的一个或几个；第二： 价格太贵，1000英镑呢。 所以想在万能的小木虫上请教各位大虾，有没有在这个杂志上投稿，也遇到和我同样情况的。编辑给我发信是因为确实我文章好呢，还是商业目的？我是不是应该接受邀请做封面呢？ 信件原文部分如下： Thank you for your submission to Analytical Methods which is currently in editorial production. As your paper was well received by the referees and us here at the Editorial office, we would like to invite you to submit some eye-catching artwork for consideration for a cover of the issue in which your article will appear. Your graphical abstract might make an excellent cover. The outside and inside front, and the outside and inside back, covers of the journal are available for highlighting the highest quality work from our authors. If chosen for a cover, we will promote your article and increase its visibility in a number of ways: • The PDF of the paper will be made free to access to all for 6 weeks • It will be highlighted in the contents pages of the journal online and in print, and on the journal blog You will also receive: • A free print copy of the issue which features your cover • Several high-quality prints of the cover • A PDF of your article which includes the cover. Anyone downloading your article will therefore see it • An electronic copy of the finished image to use in presentations or display on your desktop Additionally, if your work is featured on either of the back covers, you will also receive 10 A3 posters of the cover, which are ideal for displaying in your department or at conferences to promote your work to the community. Please note that this offer is only available to articles selected for the back cover. Back cover adverts are slightly different in design from the outside and inside front covers - as well as displaying an image of your own design, a back cover advert also features the name of your lab and a short description of the work taking place to further highlight your research. The cover design need not necessarily be scientifically detailed, but may be more artistic in appearance. We often find that abstract designs can make very effective covers. Please see the attached guidelines for some useful advice regarding the preparation of your image; please let me know if you have any questions. The attached files contain much more information on cover requirements. You, or your employer, should be the copyright holder of the image and you will be asked to sign a Permission Request Form to this effect. If you are not the copyright owner, we will not be able to use the image on a cover. If your artwork is chosen for a cover, we will ask you to make a contribution of £1000 towards the production costs. |
