Postdoc Postion (or PhD student fellowship) in Madrid

Job Description: Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies of Materials (IMDEA Materials Institute) is a non-profit independent research institute promoted by the Madrid regional government to perform top research in Materials Science and Engineering. Currently, new postdoc position (or excellent PhD student fellowship) in High Performance Polymer Nanocompsites Group of IMDEA Materials Institute led by Dr.De-Yi Wang is available. The research topic focuses on the fire retardant high performance thermoplastic materials. Concerning this position, the applicant should (i) hold the PhD degree (or Master Degree for PhD student) in polymer science and engineering, materials science and engineering, chemistry or a closely-related subject area in recent years; (ii) have solid experiences on fire retardant polymeric materials; (iii) have wide experiences on polymer processing and blending via melting compounding; (iv) Publication record (at least 2 important publications published as first author) in the professional international peer-reviewed journals; (v) have strong sense of responsibility, independent self-motivated individual and teamwork oriented; (vi) Fluent English (oral and written) is required. The position can provide 2 years’ contracts for Postdoc (Evaluation will be carried out after the first year) . The annual salary is depending on the applicant’s academic level and the public social insurance will be fully covered.
