My grandmother hurt her vertebra in carrying a neighbour's baby. PRAYING

My grandmother is 80 years old now. She is a kind woman, ready to help others any time if she affords to do that. And she has almost never gotten angry in my memory, so she wins a high prestige in the neighbourhood. She lives with my uncle, not far from my home. Though my uncle and his son went to another city for the work, leaving my grandma alone in the house, I saw that there were almost a dozen of watermelons in his room last summer. They were sent from the neighbours or other relatives living a litte far away in the village. Each of them placed one watermelon in the hall quietly when they passed my grandma's house from the field work so that my grandma sometimes even did not know where the watermelon was from. I was moved by the scene of those melons the moment I saw that and by the relations between my grandma and her friends and offsprings. Unfortunately, last week she got hurt in her lower part of the vertebra in carrying a neighbour's baby. The baby is two years old and weighs 10 kiloes around. His grandma asked my grandma to take care of him for she had to go to the vegetable field. It was not safe to do this. But she might have no other choices since others around were busy or would not do that for her. My grandmother was sent to the hospital by my father several days after the accident happened. It is reported that there are some rifts in her bone at some position and it will take at least one or two months to recover. During this period, she has to sit in bed. Luckily my aunt lives in the county and can take care of her. I am worried a lot for she is very old now and this hurt may make her health more fragile or something alike. I hope she can recover soon. PRAYING. |

| Wish your grandma recover quickly.and I want to say my opinion about your grandma. Her injury is a result of osteoporosis which often appears among old ladies. Her diagnosis is osteoporotic fracture in spinal vertebral body. The treatment includes bed rest for two or three weeks depending on the degree of injury and some medicines. The most important part is the treatment of osteoporosis. I think it better to go to the local hospital for consultion from orthopedic surgeon about the suitable medicine. |

| In China, a concomitant of the undoubtedly improving living standard is people's vanity in spirit. The alleged new dazzling slogans for boosting public morals succeed only in chanllenging China's dictionary, that is all that those slogans do. It is good that China does have great history and culture, from which everyone can extract the solution for troubles from id,ego, superego. To show filial respect to elders, as well as caring and love to kids is, kind of, common sense in our ideal society. But now it is so hard to implement these easy,basic, and essential rules when you consider China as an ensemble. The story that author presented here is really touching! We can imagine the plain and sincere relationship between the grandma and her neighbourhood. People love the grandma, and she gets what she pays for. Do to others as you would be done by, we are supposed to keep this iin mind all the time! Though, for the aged, they are not advised to do more than they can. Rift iin bone is not serious itself in orthopaedics, but the od age may handicap the recovery a bit. I hope everything will work out just fine. Let keep our fingers crossed! |
