He has disciplinary and functional responsibility the staff (technical managers, technical engineers and assistant technical engineers). Together with his staff he independently improves and develops dry mix formulations and new applications, consults customers in the best use of WACKER’s products, develops the market together with marketing and sales, cooperates with standard setting institutes, universities or authorities to setup standards and regulations which are in favor of quality dry-mix products and cooperates with WSC and Product Development LBC to improve and develop dry mix formulations and re-dispersible powders. In cooperation with the marketing and sales managers, the Technical Manager is responsible for the product portfolio within the N-China region, following the guidelines of the Business Unit. The Technical Manager is responsible for the safety and the quality in BTC according to WACKER’s guidelines and certificates, such as ISO 14001. Tasks a) General: - Provide technical service for Wacker customers - Build up technical leadership of Wacker Construction Polymers - Share information internally and externally to strengthen technical know-how - Achieve the goals and targets set by the Business Development Manager - Responsible for safety and quality management of his laboratory-BTC according to guidelines b) Development: - Improve and develop formulations and new applications of dry mix mortars - Conduct comparative studies and find out competitive advantages of WACKER products versus competitors’ - Enlarge dry-mix technology usage and VINNAPAS? c) Customers: - Find out the suitable WACKER product for the customer needs - Develop customer with technical projects focus on technical driven, loyalty and enlarging VINNAPAS? applications - Build up strong link with the technical team of key customers d) Trainings: - Plan and conduct trainings for WACKER staff, distributors and customers - Plan and conduct trainings and road shows for applicators and opinion leaders e) Files/Data: - Keep complete and accurate files of all relevant documentation in accordance with ISO 14001 rules where applicable REQUIRED QUALIFICATION/必备条件(education, language, expertise, functional competencies) - More than 3 years experience in dry mix or related industry, PhD or Master in Chemistry, Building - Chemistry, Material Science or related studies - Excellent communication skills – above average interpersonal skills - High ability of self organization and staff guidance - Willingness to travel locally and internationally - Fluency in English - Knowledge of MS-office |
