[交流] Put the Glass Down

A teacher began his class by holding up a glass of water. He asked the students, "How heavy do you think this glass of water is?""From 50g to 150g,"the students answered.
   "So what would happen if I held it up like this for a minute?""Nothing,"the students said.
   "How about holding it up for an hour?"the teacher asked. "Your arm would begin to ache1,"said one of the students.
   "You’re right. Now what would happen if I held it for a day?""Your arm could go numb2 and you might have to go to hospital for sure!"said another student and all the students laughed.
   "Good. Did the weight of the glass change?"asked the teacher. "No,"answered the students. "What should I do now to come out of pain?"asked the teacher. "Put the glass down!"said one of the students. "You are right!"said the teacher.
   Life’s problems are something like this. Hold it for a few minutes in your head, they seem OK. But think of them for a long time, they begin to ache.
   It’s important to think of the problems in your life, but always remember to put them down at the end of every day before you go to bed.
