Concise Complex Analysis By Sheng Gong, Youhong Gong Publisher: World Scientific Publishing Company Number Of Pages: 260 Publication Date: 2007-04-26 ISBN-10 / ASIN: 9812706933 ISBN-13 / EAN: 9789812706935 Binding: Hardcover A concise textbook on complex analysis for undergraduate and graduate students, this book is written from the viewpoint of modern mathematics: the Bar {Partial}-equation, differential geometry, Lie groups, all the traditional material on complex analysis is included. Setting it apart from others, the book makes many statements and proofs of classical theorems in complex analysis simpler, shorter and more elegant: for example, the Mittag Leffer theorem is proved using the Bar {Partial}-equation, and the Picard theorem is proved using the methods of differential geometry. Summary: really concise Rating: 5 Mathematically, it's really good for undergrad students to review complex analysis. Very nice complex analysis contents. Mathematics is an international language. If you know math, you donot need to know any language to understand a math book. It's the beauty of mathematics. Summary: Editor critically needed Rating: 1 This book is a supreme example of why editors are necessary. The English language in it is so poor that the mathematics suffers greatly. Typos, run on words, misspellings, mixed tense, lack of articles, lack of possessive markings, etc. abound on just about every page. If you know the subject you might be able to struggle through it. If you don't, then the confusion caused will leave you lost without a life raft. This review is based on the paperback reprint of 2003. Choice in offering a review saying this is "well-written" must have been reviewing the original in Chinese.
