This critical position is responsible for yield improvement within each stage of the antibody development process from antigen preparation through validation and optimization.
Responsibilities:
· Improve the yields of polyclonal and monoclonal antibody production by optimizing the protocols of antigen preparation, animal immunization, antibody purification and conjugation.
· Increase the antibody product validation success rate by optimizing and trouble-shooting immunoassay protocols.
· Initiate and establish new immunoassay platforms with company antibody products.
· Contribute to scientific discussions and provide scientific leadership.
· Improve upon current and write new SOPs.
· Review literature, report progress and update databases.
· Interact with team members and across groups.
· Other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
· Ph.D. or M.S. in Immunology, Biotechnology, Biology or related fields.
· A minimum of three years (MS) or five years (Bachelor) hands-on industry experience developing antibodies and immunoassays – experience working in an ISO9001-2008 environment preferred.
· Demonstrated ability to successfully lead a scientific team and execute multiple projects simultaneously.  Ability to meet project deadlines a must.
· Independent and critical thinker.  Detail-orientated, well-organized, and highly motivated.
· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with others (oral and written).  Excellent scientific writing and presentation skills a must.
