佛罗里达国际大学（FIU）医疗保险咨询 已有3人参与

准备去佛罗里达国际大学作访问学者1年，学校要求先办医疗保险，再给2019表，但学校的保险太贵，还要求必须买学校的，请问有没有遇到这种情况的？我在外面看了一种保险，秘书不同意，该怎么跟负责的秘书谈一谈？这是学校的国际处：http://isss.fiu.edu/j1scholars_health.htm，秘书的信件 This email is to inform you that we can only accept a medical insurance that it is part of your program at your home country. We cannot accept a travel insurance that can be canceled by the scholar at any time. One of the requirement to hold a J-1 Visa is that the scholar needs to have medical insurance that meets all the requirements that are on the attached alternative insurance form. The university cannot approve a DS-2019 without holding an appropriate medical insurance. If you do not have a current medical insurance as part of your program in your home country, you need to fill out the attached insurance form with a method of payment and submit it together with the initial application of your DS-2019 to Dr. Li. Please note that before we can process your final DS-2019, you need to have your medical insurance paid until August 16, 2014. You will need to submit tentative dates for your appointment at FIU.
