The 6th International Conference on Internet Multimedia Computing and Service (ICIMCS 2014), Xiamen, China, July 10−12, 2014.

SCOPE:
The 6th International Conference on Internet Multimedia Computing and Service (ICIMCS) will be held from July 10−12, 2014 at Xiamen, Fujian, China. The three-day conference will include invited keynotes, oral and poster presentations. ICIMCS2014 will serve as an international forum to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to discuss cutting-edge research on the state-of-the-art of internet multimedia processing, multimedia service, analysis and applications. The conference calls for research papers reporting original investigation results and industrial-track papers reporting real multimedia applications and system development experiences.

All previous ICIMCS papers have been included in the ACM digital library and indexed by EI. Selected high quality papers will be invited to submit to special issues in SCI-indexed multimedia-related journals (e.g., Multimedia Systems Journal, Multimedia Tools and Applications journal).

TOPICS:

The topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following areas related to multimedia technologies and applications:
•        Large-scale multimedia analysis and retrieval
•        Multimedia systems and applications
•        Web scale multimedia annotation and classification
•        Multimedia communications, transmission, and system
•        Multimedia security and rights management
•        Multimedia quality assessment
•        3D media, virtual and augmented reality
•        Interactive media and HCI
•        Mobile multimedia computing
•        Social multimedia analysis and application
•        Computer vision/machine learning for multimedia application
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

All submissions must be in English and should follow ACM guidelines.The whole paper should be written in 9 points and should be prepared in double-column proceedings style. The default paper length for ICIMCS 2014 is 4 pages, and should be not more than 6, for which the authors should pay for the extract page charges. Papers must be submitted as PDF files. Papers violating the formatting rules, or exceeding the format length will be rejected without review.

•        Submission of Camera-ready Papers: May 10, 2014

There have been four accepted special session proposals as listed below.
•        Special Session 1: 3D and Multi-Modality Multimedia Computing, Modeling, and Service
•        Special Session 2: Multimedia Content Analysis for Emerging Applications
•        Special Session 3: Women in Multimedia
•        Special Session 4: Sparse Representation in Image and Signal Processing
Please notice that the submission deadline and review process for special-session papers are different to those for regular papers.

•        Notification of Acceptance: May 10, 2014
•        Submission of Camera-ready Papers: May 15, 2014
