Position Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Associate

Positions are available in the Cancer Epigenetics Laboratory (www.clo.cuhk.edu.hk/research_2.html), working on the functional and mechanistic characterization of novel tumor suppressor genes silenced by promoter CpG methylation in human cancers, especially on their roles in cell signaling in tumor cells (Oncogene 2006; 25:1070-80. Blood 2007; 110:4130-1. PNAS 2007; 104:12353-8. Hepatol 2008; 48:508-18. Cancer Res 2009; 69:5194-5201. Cancer Res 2010; 70:6516-6526; Oncogene 2012; 31:3901-12; J Pathol 2012 Aug 27. Gut 2013; 62:833-41). Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree (for Postdoctoral Fellow) or a Master's degree plus 4 years’ relevant post-qualification work experience (for Research Associate); (ii) solid research experience in molecular biology/genetics and cancer signalling; and (iii) high self-motivation for academic research. Duties include (a) accomplishing research projects with academic publications; and (b) performing research grant writing. Monthly Salary and Fringe Benefits Salary will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
