[交流] 美国Florida State University 机械系两个博士研究生全奖机会

Dr. Chengying Xu is recruiting two highly motivated PhD students with full RAs to study at Department of Mechanical Engineering, Florida State University, USA (http://www.eng.fsu.edu/me/) staring from Fall this year.

One research direction expects candidate to have most of the following academic background:
1 Understand the mathematic modeling of machining processes, such as milling, turning, or metal forming process, etc.
2 Be familiar with advanced mechanics knowledge, such as constitutive modeling of plasticity and fracture.
3 Be able to do finite element analysis using standard software programs, such as Abaqus, LS-Dyna.
4 Has certain material background, especially on metal matrix composites. He/she should have taken basic courses such as ‘mechanical behavior of materials’, ‘structure and properties of materials’, ‘material thermodynamics’, etc.
5 Preferably has the M.S. degree, and has journal and/or conference paper publication.

The other research direction expects candidate to have most of the following academic background:
1 Be very familiar with polymer (or ceramic) matrix composite material.
2 Has good background on turbine engine and understand the key components.
3 Understand the mathematic modeling of machining processes, such as milling, turning, or metal forming process, etc.
4 Understand engineering design process, and be able to do CAD/CAM drawing using standard software, such as SolidWorks.
5 Preferably has the M.S. degree, and has journal and/or conference paper publication.
