Its research and development office in Beijing is looking for talented individuals to carry out research activity related to next-generation sequencing data analysis and data mining. Our analysis team aims to bring novel methods resulting from this endeavor to our bioinformatics services, as well as publishing them on high-profile academic journals. Requirement: 1. Ph.D. in computer science, mathematics, statistics, bioinformatics or related fields. 2. Strong background in statistics, machine learning or computational biology, as demonstrated by papers published in peer-reviewed journals. 3. Understand the algorithm and implementation of commonly used clustering and classification algorithms, such as k-means, Support Vector Machine, spectral methods and etc. Experience with popular optimization methods, such as Expectation-Maximization (EM), MCMC, convex optimization and etc. 4. Good coding skills in scripting language (Perl/Python) and statistics/mathematical language (R/Matlab/Python). Proficiency in C/C++/Java is a plus. 5. Ability to handle large-scale data. Experience with MPI, MapReduce or other parallel framework is desirable. 6. Excellent reading and writing skills in English.
