[交流] development versus retrogression

People are always easy to being glad when hearing that their economy has squeezed into top 100,and somewhat pride of that.it is justifibly to such superior feeling if the wealth is got from the capital operation.

Being rich from the development of industry and the cost of environment is not a reasonable way to feel superior. When the air mixed with the smell of paint ,oil,and leather, and people died of lung cancer in their young age, how and where does that pride come from?  

Using the fresh air and  the clean water to change for the so called weath, does that worth of it? Will the life quality increase? I do not think so.

The small city has the strong industry, especially the faucet industry. Thousands of workers wearing uniform flood over the street when they get off duty. We only stay in our room after our work has done , for the smell outside is unenjoyable. One taxi driver told us that one of his colleagues died of lung cancer in his young age, and his relative.
