PhD Studentship in Liver Diseases and Chemical Biology: University of Macau Dr. Ying Wang’s laboratory in the Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences at University of Macau (http://www.umac.mo/icms/) are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic PhD candidates. Dr. Wang got her PhD at the University of Hong Kong, postdoctoral training at Yale University in the United States of America, and joined the university as Assistant Professor in 2013. The group’s research interest includes 1) Anti-hepatitis C virus and liver cancer drug discovery, 2) Chemical biology of natural product and derivatives, 3) Molecular pharmacology. Candidates with experiences in the above areas are preferred but not restricted. Priority will be given to those in the final year of master program or undergraduate study with fluency in oral and written English. The successful candidates are expected to start PhD program on September 1, 2014, and will be fully funded all through the program. The university will provide postgraduate housing with an affordable price. The University of Macau is now making a quantum leap to be the world class university with the move to the beautiful new campus on Hengqin Island (http://www.umac.mo/new_campus_project/). Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences (ICMS) is stepping into the second decade with the generous support from the Macau SAR Government and the University of Macau. ICMS will be relocated into a brand new research building on the new campus soon… Application deadline is February 1st, 2014.
