H.-J. Spies, G. Pusch, C. Henkel, K. Rö¦Âler Mining Academy, DDR-9200 Freiberg, PSF 47, German Democratic Republic Abstract This paper considers the crack propagation behavior of a bainitic HSLA-steel with a minimum yield strength of 600 MPa. As in the welded structures, crack-like defects are present and they can affect the resistance to failure by crack growth. Coarsening of the grain corresponded to a higher threshold level ¦ÄK0 during the early stage of fatigue crack growth. Sensitivity to the mean stress level increases with increasing crack growth rates. Theoretical and Applied Fracture Mechanics Volume 11, Issue 2, May 1989, Pages 121¨C125 |
