Special Issue on Cognitive-inspired Network Systems
CALL FOR PAPERS

https://www.ieeesystemsjournal.org/

GUEST EDITORS
Prof. Yuhang Yang, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China
Dr. Maode Ma, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
Prof. Bahram Honary, Lancaster University, UK

SCOPE
Cognition is emerging as a new and promising methodology with the development of cognitive-inspired computing, ubiquitous networks and systems, which has the potential to enable a large class of applications. However, recent advances, such as interference alignment, collaborative communications, cognitive computational theory, make us be lacking a clear understanding of analytical cognitive-inspired computing, networks and systems, as well as best practices, to design resource-efficient, utility, pervasive, scalable, autonomy-oriented cognitive systems and applications.
The objective of this special issue is to bring together state-of-the-art research contributions that address these key aspects of cognitive-inspired network systems and applications. Original papers describing completed and unpublished work not currently under review by any other journal/magazine/conference are solicited. Specific topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
-        Modeling and architecture of cognitive network systems
-        Interference management in cognitive network systems
-        Green cognitive radio systems
-        Cross-layer design for cognitive networking
-        Spectrum detection and cooperative spectrum sensing/fusion in cognitive network systems
-        Dynamic/Cooperative radio resource management, spectrum policy, and standardizations in cognitive network systems
-        Machine & human behavior recognitions and network data analysis in cognitive network systems
-        Cognitive computational modeling and theory
-        Scalable, autonomy-oriented cognitive computing and applications of cognitive network systems
-        Platforms, tools, and design methods of cognitive network systems
-        Test-bed and prototype implementation of cognitive network systems
-        New emerging applications in cognitive networks
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
