The name of the Program is Cai Yuanpei 2014 (http://www.campusfrance.org/fr/caiyuanpei- there is also chinese version of the page). ¸Ã¿ÎÌâ×éµÄÑо¿·½ÏòÈçÏ£º My researches is to study the role played by the protein Spastin on the onset of a Human Paraplegia Disease. A part of the project is mainly focuses on decipher the molecular & cellular mechanisms at the cellular level by which classical microtubule-targeting drugs at nanomolar concentration prevent axonal swelling in cultured neurons from SPG4-knock-out mice (Microtubule-targeting drugs rescue axonal swellings in cortical neurons from spastin knockout mice, Fassier et al. 2013). At the same time we sought to identify and characterize, starting from a Y2HS approach, new molecular partners of spastin to elucidate how the functions of this protein are regulated. This part of the project has more a biochemical experimental approach.
