[交流] Multiple Positions for PhD students.

The University of Macau is expanding and has adopted a number of new strategic initiatives including the establishment of a new life science research faculty - The Faculty of Health Sciences (https://fhs.umac.mo). The new faculty focuses on research areas such as Cancer, Development and Aging, Molecular Medicine, Immunology and Infectious Diseases, Neuron-degenerative Diseases.
The laboratory of Dr. Chris Wong (https://fhs.umac.mo/faculty-and-staff/faculty/chris-koon-ho-wong/) is inviting PhD students and post-doctoral research fellows to join his research on fungal infection and pathogenesis. The successful candidates will use functional and computational genomics approaches to study important fungal physiologies associated with the process of fungal pathogenesis. The candidates will have opportunities to perform and analyze data of various advanced Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) applications such as ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, ribosomal profiling and single cell genomics, etc and to collaborate with fungal groups around the world.
The faculty and university offer highly competitive stipends/salaries and heavily subsidized on-campus housing to successful candidates.
Requirements:
• Background in biology, genomics, bioinformatics, statistics, computer science, or other related fields.
• Programming skills is a plus: Python, Perl, C, C++, Java, R, Matlab or other related programming knowledge.
