The successful candidate will join Dr. Jing Tang’s lab in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, which is in close collaboration with the Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Molecular Imaging at the OU William Beaumont School of Medicine. Active projects include the development of data acquisition, image reconstruction, and image analysis techniques in multimodality imaging including PET/CT, SPECT/CT, and PET/MRI. Applicants should have a BS or MS (preferred) degree in electrical engineering, physics, medical physics or a closely related field. Relevant experience and skills in physics, mathematics, modeling, image reconstruction techniques, instrumentation, and/or the specific imaging modality, are desired. Self-motivation, good programming and writing skills, and a willingness to work in a multidisciplinary collaborative environment are expected. Oakland University is a state-supported research intensive university located 25 miles north of Detroit, which offers both small town characteristics and a wide diversity of culture, sports, and entertainment activities.
