When using sheet metal dimensions from previous design in the tests, the vertical wall of B column fractured. At this crack's edge 5 critical thickness reduction spots are selected and comparison is made between the simulated and test thickness. The results show that at these spots the numerically simulated and test values are in good agreement and the maximum error is 0.09mm. At the same time it is found that test values are in general higher than the simulated ones and this phenomenon is related to the slight oxidation at the materiel surface. Predicting the test samples using the forming limit graph set up earlier, it is seen that the material strain value at the vertical wall exceeds the forming limit plane and fracture is resulted, while other parts remain in the safe zone. Afterwards the strain paths are analysed, which demonstrates that all the strain paths of the 5 points undergo generally the three strain states, namely stretching-press, plane strain, stretch-stretch strain. The more complex the paths go through, the more likely the material will fracture.
