2013.11.02外语学习、English Cafe、硕博家园YY英语口语交流第六十期活动公告~

1、活动时间
       活动19:30开始，19:30到20:00之间为Warm Up时间，大家可以和主持人以及活动里面的虫虫热情互动，中英文皆可。大家可以谈谈对活动的建议、体会，也可以谈谈自己最近碰到的有趣的事情、关注的新闻、读的书等，当然不要忘了调试麦克风哦。
       19:30 ~ 20:00 是 Warm Up 时间；
       20:00 ~ 22:00 为 Topic Time ；
       22:00之后         为 Free Talk 时间，欢迎参与。

2、活动目的
    为了使虫友们更好的用英文交流，提高口语水平，emuch每周将提供一个展现自我，提升自我的舞台，由科研生活区主办，EC版、外语版、硕博家园版协办，决定举办“YY英语口语交流活动”。我们希望通过本次活动，能让虫友们认识到口语学习的重要性，提高虫友们对英语口语训练的积极性。

It's up to you?

In the past, as people had few choices, most of them stayed in an area from cradle to grave.  They kept working for an organization for a life-long time, leading a routine lifestyle every day, day in and day out. However, nowadays, there are so many alternatives that we are facing when making decisions, from choosing a right career that we like to what we shall eat tonight.  Sometimes, we may feel fed up of giving any opinion and wanna simply say: “Up to you (or it is your call)”.For sure, there are a range of other reasons that make you give no opinion in some cases. Tonight let’s discuss about it.
1.If you are dating with your BF (GF) and are asked to choose a movie that you will watch together, will you express your opinion?

2.People always say“ choose whatever you wish” or“ I’ve no idea ”. In what situation will you say “it is up to you”?

3. Do you think you are a good decision maker? Or do you prefer to take others’ advice?
4. Suppose that someone shows his (her) love to you, but you have no feeling about him (her). Will you be in a dilemma or just turn him (her) down immediately?

5. According to what I know and some news from online, most Chinese parents have very strong opinion on what their children should choose. Therefore, they put a lot of pressure on their children. Do your parents always try to make a decision for you?

6. The problem that one’s lover hardly meets his (her) parents’ expectation is an endless issue in China. On this point, will your parents’ viewpoint affect your determination of choosing a boyfriend (girlfriend)? , and how much does that affect?
