求助关于EST投稿的问题。

想投ES&T，在它的投稿要求中有这样的字样： TOC/Abstract Art. Table of Contents (TOC) and Abstract Art appears next to the abstract in the online version of the paper, in the electronic TOC for the given issue, and in the print issue. 我有三件事需要求助： 1、所谓的Table of Contents (TOC)，到底是什么意思，怎样制作？有没有样本？ 2、 Abstract Art有没有比较好的软件可以画的？ 3、 Table of Contents (TOC)和 Abstract Art提交的时候是分开提交还是直接附在论文里，如果是附在论文里，应当放在什么位置？ 急求大神帮助！谢谢！ |

文章中，摘要旁边的图就是TOC， 打开网页：http://pubs.acs.org/toc/esthag/current 论文题目下面的图就是TOC! TOC的要求： Good TOC/Abstract art should illustrate the article, akin to a “visual abstract.” It should capture the readers’ attention and, in conjunction with the manuscript title, give readers a 6 visual impression of the essence of the paper without providing specific results. Imagery can range from a single in-context photograph of a field site to that of a “cartoon” schematic explaining the central method or findings of the paper. TOC和正文一起提交，不要放在Cover letter 中 TOC/Abstract art should be submitted in the same manner as other graphics: within the manuscript file unambiguously identified as TOC/Abstract art, or as a clearly labeled graphic under the file designation “graphic for manuscript.” Do not submit TOC/Abstract art in your cover letter. |
