Short description of possible research topics for a PhD:
Our group combines nanomaterials science, physics, chemistry to develop new material designs with novel properties and functions. In general the question posed is: does it make sense to fixe first the desired property and then design material with architecture that has this property.  We work usually with metal and oxide nanoparticles (Ag, Au, Cu, Co and TiO2) and metal surfaces which are either prepared in our laboratory or outside, we are specialized in nanoparticle synthesis, surface functionalization and properties investigation. Our approach combines centrifugal deposition process and surface functionalization to prepare desired structure of material with quantitative properties. Our goal in this PhD proposal is to develop TiO2 aggregates with controlled nanoparticle packing process. We expect that our results could be helpful in understanding the optical properties of TiO2 film and the optimisation of DSSC solar cells efficiency.

Required background of the student: surface functionalization and/or nanomaterial synthesis, ideally with some knowledge of photovoltaic properties.

Our group combines nanomaterials science, physics, chemistry to develop new material designs with novel properties and functions. Our goal in this PhD proposal is to develop a Co nanostructuring method with nanometre resolution using electrochemical deposition process. We expect that our results could be helpful in understanding the magnetic properties of ordered magnetic nanoparticles and may have potential application in information’s storage.

Required background of the student: Electrochemistry, Physics, ideally with some knowledge of surface functionalization and/or nanomaterial synthesis.

这边主要在电化学方面,你对电化学有兴趣吗?你用什么方式制备贵金属催化剂啊?主要用在什么方面啊?

您好,我14年硕士毕业,主要做染料敏化太阳电池和量子点太阳电池,我们光阳极大部分都用氧化钛,现在有篇关于量子点的文章老师正在修改准备投,本科和硕士都是211,托福考过一次不理想,准备再考一次。不知道我这个情况符合您们要求么?

我对电化学很有兴趣的~~其实我主要是用浸湿法负载贵金属,载体主要为碳材料,主要用在芳香族化合物的氧化与还原方面
