[交流] 外导让写个邀请信的draft,请问这样写合格吗？

另外January 2015 to January 2016这个时间安排是不是合理?
现在正在参加英语培训，听说明年的第一批申请是2014年1月份
估计培训结束等考试结果出来，赶不上第一批申请了。

Dear Dr. XXX,
  This letter is to confirm that I will be happy to host Dr. XXX (birthday: date) of Department of  XXX, *** University , China, as an visiting scholar in my laboratory here in the School of  XXX at *** University for a period of one year to undertake independent research in xxx (research area). Your research topic is the xxxxxxx. I am convinced that the outcomes of your visit will be beneficial not only to our research on xxxxxx but will promote your work on the xxxxxxxx.
Your English proficiency meets our requirements. We expect you to be here from January 2015 to January 2016 (the start date can be flexible in case of delays in matters such as visa applications etc). This invitation is based on your previous work and background knowledge of the field as demonstrated in our previous communications.  As you know, This offer is conditional on approval of your application to the China Scholarship Council (CSC). It is my understanding that the CSC scholarship will cover your living, travel, and relocation expenses. I will not be able to offer you any additional funds (such as salary support or living allowance) from my research grants. I will, however, be able to provide office space, computer access and necessary technical support for your research.
   I hope your work goes well while you are here, and I look forward to your stay in my group. Please do not hesitate to contact me at #### or name@univeristy.cn if there is anything that my colleagues or I can do to assist you.
