                       The War of Great Britain
      The war of Great Britain was the biggest disaster in the United Kingdom. The mighty Napoleon felt helpless upon the United Kingdom because of the English Channel. Adolf Hitler brought disaster to the island of Great Britain by means of their own air forces in the 20th century.
London people spent a night of terror on September 7th, 1940. More than 300 German fighter bombers flied to London directly around 5 o’clock in the afternoon and more than tons of explosives were poured into the land of London, which was in a sea of fire. The British hardly had no power to fight back in face of the continuous bombings because of the weakness of air defense forces. London had been covered with the black clouds of smoke, and even sunlight couldn’t reach over London the next morning. London’s big bombing stirred up the morale of the British people. All British cooperated together to go through the difficult time. The Prime Minister Winston Churchill declared that: “We will never give up, we will fight in the end…we will defend our island despite the high cost.”
      Faced with the unyielding British, Hitler tried every possible means to let them surrender or attacked them by force, but it didn’t lead to the surrender of British Royal Air Force defended the air of Great Britain with their own blood and body and maintained the independence and dignity of the motherland.
      The justice couldn’t be defeated, the British people and the British Royal Air Force achieved the victory in the battle of Great Britain at last by their own strong willpower and braveness. In this battle, the German air force lost 1733 aircrafts and more than 6000 pilots, while the British Royal Air Force suffered little loss.
      The Battle of Great Britain not only ruined Hitler’s plan to occupy the Great Britain successfully, but also frustrated the German Air Force greatly and got back the air of the English Channel, laying a solid foundation for the future use of air advantage to fight against the German navy.
