Graduate Studies in Ultrafast Photonics The Photonics Group in the Department of Physics and Physical Oceanography of the Memorial University of Newfoundland has openings for graduate studies to carry out research on ultrafast photonics. The research will use tunable femtosecond lasers from an ultrafast laser system with an optical parametric amplifier to study novel photonic materials and components. The self-motivated candidates are expected to have a background in Physics or Engineering. Knowledge on optics is expected. The openings are available immediately.
