| Long term blockade of Dll4 in several mammalian models was found to cause hemorrhage-prone liver hemangiomas , likely because of development of the same overproliferated, delicate vessels seen elsewhere.Although angiogenesis is not widespread in adults, the liver is a highly vascular organ that regenerates frequently, so it is not surprising that it is impacted by angiogenic dysfunction.Pathological changes were detected in the liver by as little as 8 weeks of treatment. |
