The Celts lived in the island of Great Britain in the early time of 55 BC. The King of Rome Caesar sent for soldiers to occupy the Great Britain because of its rich resources so that Great Britain became a province of Rome. In 395 AD, the Rome Empire split, and the Great Britain was away from its rule gradually, the Roman army went back to the mainland in 407 AD, since then, the Great Britain broke away from the rule of the Roman Empire.
When the Roman army went back, the island of Great Britain wasn¡¯t peaceful at all. There were many disputes among tribes shortly after the Roman Army went back. In the 5th century, one of the tribes came to the mainland to ask the Jutes for help, then the Anglos and Saxons also came to the island and began the migration in large scale. The warrior Anglo, Saxon and jutes attacked the Great Britain from many aspects and occupied the land. They controlled the rich southeastern island of Great Britain until the first half of the 7th century, since then, they led a stable life in the island while the deserted part of island in the north and southwest. They had also established a number of small countries in the process of occupying the island of Great Britain, they fought against one another in the end. Seven large countries were formed until the late 6th century and the early 7th, this also created a British history of the ¡°Seven Times¡±.
The seven countries didn¡¯t get along very well. Instead, they tried to kill one another. One of the countries called Seixas defeat the other six countries until the early 9th century AD, unified the Great Britain and formed a country officially. However, the early Anglo, the Saxon and Jutes unified together in the process of fighting, so they were known as the Anglo-Saxons, at the same time, they got over the early indigenous people on the island. The land ruled by the Anglo-Saxons had the largest population, so the Great Britain was called ¡°England¡±, in fact, which meant ¡°the land of the Anglo-Saxons¡±.
