Dear Sirs/Madams: "ICC 14 Pre-Symposium in Kyoto as the celebration of 50th anniversary of the Catalysis Society of Japan" ----- Call for Papers The Catalysis Society of Japan invites you to submit one-page abstracts of your talks to the Memorial Symposium through our Web site <http://www.shokubai.org/intern/ICC-Pre/>. In this regards, we are pleased to inform you the Second circular(Call for Papers) as attached. The Catalysis Society of Japan organizes International Symposium on Creation and Control of Advanced Selective Catalysis (a Pre-Symposium of ICC 14) as the celebration of 50th anniversary of the foundation of the Society during July 8-12, 2008 in a Japanese memorial city, Kyoto. There are many flights everyday from Kansai Airport near Kyoto to Incheon Airport, Seoul, which will take only 2.5 h. The perspectives and the current status of the pioneering selective catalysis designed and manipulated at atomic/nano-levels will be the emphasis of the symposium. Achievements of worldwide young scientists will be also highlighted. Three-days scientific program will comprise 3 plenary lectures, 30 invited lectures, 50 oral presentations, and 200 posters on the following topics: A. Fundamentals and theory for the selective catalysis B. In situ characterization of the selective catalysis C. New selective catalysis for green processes D. New catalytic materials for the selective catalysis E. Innovative processes by the selective catalysis Those wishing to contribute to the symposium are invited to submit one-page abstract in English through our website <http://www.shok ubai.org/intern/ICC-Pre/> with the mode of presentation and the related topics (A–E) by 31st January, 2008. The decision of the acceptance of the paper will be made on the basis of the abstract by 31st March , 2008.
