Feelings and Emotions

Did you know that certain colors are associated with emotions? Pink is very relaxing and used in rooms to quiet people who are agitated. Blue is moody, for example, "I'm blue today." Green is worn by hospital workers because it instills trust. Yellow is a bright cheerful color. In China, yellow was the imperial color, worn only by the emperor. In Egypt, purple was worn by the pharaohs and Queen Cleopatra. It took thousands of snails to dye one of her garments. In the West, white is for weddings, whereas in China, it is for death and mourning. In the West, black is used for funerals. In China, red is the lucky color, along with green.
