The bulk PANI-BF4material was obtained by oxidative electropolymerization of 0.25 M aniline in the presence of2MHBF4.It was converted into PANI-base material with ammonium hydroxide. The dry PANI-base material of 250 mg was dissolved in 50 mL of 88% formic acid. The PANI-formic acid solution was then filtered using 0.2ím pore size syringe tip filters (Gelman Science, Acrodisk). PANI films were cast onto Pt and Au electrodes using glass capillary pipets to minimize material overlap on the insulating body of the microelectrodes. The volumes delivered onto the Pt or Au disk with a surface area of 0.14 cm2(Model MF-2014 or MF-2013, Bioanalytical Systems) were typically on the order of 5íL. The formic acid was then allowed to dry under normal laboratory air for 24 h before further use as working electrodes in electrochemical experiments. |
