30% of graduates secured jobs so far

It has been the hardest season for job hunters in China. Nearly 7 million students graduate from university this year, the highest on record in the past 6 decades. The latest survey by Zhaopin.com, a job-hunting portal for graduates, shows the average monthly salary for university graduates in 28 major cities of China this year. Shanghai tops the list, averaging over 4,800 yuan, and Beijing follows with around 4,700 yuan. While new graduates can get nearly 4,500 yuan in Shenzhen city. They’re expecting less pay this year. Less than 30 percent of new graduates in China have secured jobs so far.
While a survey on 500 firms made by China’s ministry of education, shows that employers have trimmed the number of jobs available for new hires this year by about 15 percent. [ 来自小组 夜行侠部落 ] |
