Research Associate， Molecular Biology

Challenges We are looking for a research associate with experience molecular biology. The main responsibility of this position is to assist a PhD-level scientist with laboratory work, documentation and other tasks related to molecular biology. Thus, a lot of your time will be spent in the laboratory where your tasks will include the design, execution, and implementation of a portion of a scientific research project(s) in collaboration with the research team. Furthermore, you will be expected to assist with the implementation of new technologies. You will be part of a team in a highly dynamic and challenging environment within the Diabetes Research Unit. Qualifications ? BS or MS in Molecular Biology or related biological background. ? 2+ years of laboratory research experience and demonstrated knowledge with hands on laboratory work in the field of molecular biology, e.g. design primers for DNA cloning and mutagenesis, perform DNA cloning and mutagenesis for various proteins. ? Expertise in molecular cloning, cell culture and protein expression in E.coli is a must ? Good verbal and written English skills ? Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, ? You are proactive and able to take responsibility beyond own tasks, ? You are communicating and collaborating in a positive and motivating way, a good team-player, highly flexible and have a “can-do” approach.
