The primary goal is to put the PGVP simulator into field application. Seven well plans were designed based on a history-matching geological model to identify the optimum condition for converting the diamond-shape inverted nine-spot well pattern to a five-spot well pattern. The comprehensive comparison and analysis of oil saturation and dimensionless permeability coefficient distribution in different well plans were provided. The three-dimensional geological model of subject reservoir was established and 9 well plans were designed to obtain the optimal well adjustment plan. Additionally, the formation pressure gradient distributions were provided and the flow regions were divided to study the adaptability of different well adjustment plans.
