博后申请，外导要写summary，有相似经历的吗？ 已有3人参与

前段时间要了推荐信后，外导回复了，内容如下，说要我看他的proposal，然后写个summary 给他看看，然后面试。 有遇到这种状况的童鞋吗？ I attach two research proposals. Both cover 5-year funded efforts that are now ongoing in my group. As the projects are presently in their second year, we are already working on many of the specific systems or goals detailed in the proposals. I would like you to take perhaps 2 weeks or so to read the proposals and think about NEW possibilities, consistent with the scope of work outlined in the proposals -- I'd like to hear what YOU might consider, based on your background and training, to be a worthwhile focus for your efforts. When you are ready, please send me a one or two page summary outlining your idea(s), and then let's schedule a Skype call to talk about your goals for doing postdoctoral work in my group. |
