dissipation 一词该怎么理解？

| 最近看到一篇文献中，提到水流的dissipation等于-0.5*q*▽Φ,其中q为单位时间内的流量，Φ为水头，相应的▽Φ就为水力梯度。现在比较疑惑的是有些词典上翻译该词为“损耗能”，可是能量的单位是焦耳或牛顿米，而dissipation的单位很明显不是。现在不知道该词怎么翻译好，另外这种定义有没有别的出处可以佐证的？ |

| Dissipation is the result of irreversible processes that take place in inhomogeneous thermodynamic systems. A dissipative process is a process in which energy (internal, bulk flow kinetic, or system potential) is transformed from some initial form to some final form; the capacity of the final form to do mechanical work is less than that of the initial form. For example, transfer of energy as heat is dissipative because it is a transfer of internal energy from a hotter body to a colder one. The second law of thermodynamics, which states that the entropy of a system never decreases, implies that this reduces the capacity of the combination of the two bodies to do mechanical work. |
