It is currently looking for one talented plant scientists to strengthen its research activities in plant secondary metabolism. As a successful applicant, you are expected to use state-of-art biotechnological tools to exploit metabolic pathways of interest in plant and / or plant cell systems, and to make important contributions in modification and production of novel natural molecules through novel approaches. Job responsibility: 1. Lead to establish suspension cell lines of selected plant species. 2. Participate in making transgenic plants of selected plant species. 3. Work independently and effectively in planning and executing experiments. 4. Plan and adjust well to meet milestones. 5. Work closely with analytical chemists for metabolic pathway elucidation. 6. Monitor new technology development and assess their applications to facilitate research progress. 7. Support other projects. Profile: 1. PhD degree in plant biotech or a relevant discipline. 2. Solid knowledge of cell biology and plant physiology. 3. Prior experience and excellent skills in plant tissue culture and transformation. 4. Good understanding of metabolic pathways, especially secondary metabolisms in plants. 5. Curiosity and passion in phytochemistry and plant metabolic engineering. 6. Good problem-solving abilities. 7. Proven time management skills. 8. Excellent team-working and collaborative spirit with good inter-personal skills. 9.
