University Assistant (post doc) position in the group of Computational Materials Physics (G. Kresse) Candidates have an outstanding record or show exceptional promise in any area of computational theoretical solid state physics including - but not restricted to - many-body Green function techniques, quantum field theoretical methods, quantum chemistry methods, ab-initio wave function based methods, modeling of surfaces and interfaces, or semiconductor modeling. Candidates with shown expertise in developing new computational methods and adopting them to high performance computer programs will be given preference. Furthermore, strong interactions with existing experimental and theoretical groups in Vienna, in particular, with the Sonderforschungsbereich "ViCoM", are highly desirable. All applications shall include i) CV including full academic record, ii) list of publications and talks including one or two reprints representative of previous research, iii) two letters of recommendation, iv) expression of interest concerning research area(s) (two pages). Selection of candidates will start at the 1st of October and continue until the position is filled. Extent of Employment: 40 hours/week Occupation group in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §48 VwGr.
