[交流] 审稿人质疑采用支持向量机进行数据处理的必要性，这个怎么破？

本人进行数据处理时采用了支持向量机，识别效果不错，写成了论文头到了Structural Control and Health Monitoring。现在收到了审稿人的回复意见，大修改，其中主要意见如下：
Overall, I feel that the need for SVM to separate is not clear. The temperature profile itself is visually separable. There is no need to fit a model or build a classifier. In addition, the simple fit using empirical model could be used to separate the samples. Why do we need a SVM classifier? I feel the contribution is very weak and the paper is not acceptable for possible publication.
这个审稿人觉得没必要使用支持向量机作为分类器，但本人坚持使用支持向量机，有没有虫子遇到过类似的问题，求各位支支招！有模式识别，数据挖掘的大牛支招再好不过啦！
