Civil servants can get High Temperature Allowance of 3,000 yuan？

Ms. Zhou, working for one of state-owned banks, told her friends proudly that her company would give employees the High Temperature Allowance of 3,000 yuan from June to August. Her friends answered, confused:”No employees in the bank would feel hot I am sure for there is the central air-conditioner. What is this allowance for?” Ms. Zhou replied:”Of course it is cool in the office, but it is terribly hot in the way to workplace. Moreover, it is our rights to enjoy such welfare, so, the more money, the better.”' The High Temperature Allowance, with its providing standard from 40 yuan to 160 yuan per month, has been clearly definited that it directs towards those who work in the open air with the temperature over 35 centidegree and those who do office operation with temperature highs up to 33 centidegree. According to the report from one of the newspapers, Mr. Zhao, working for a shore factory in Dongguan city of Guangdong province, suddently fainted in the heat during his working. His body temperature is above normal and up to 41.3 centidegree, which needed to be rescued and observed in the intensive care unit. Compared to those civil servants who can be given the High Temperature Allowance of 3,000 yuan per month, how much money would Mr. Zhao be compensated from such welfare? Since I started working till today, I have never enjoyed the High temperature Allowance welfare. Put aside the question of whether the civil servants should get High Temperature Allowance of 3000 yuan per month or not, as one of eligible civics of PRC, people should have their right to enjoy the welfare if government have such policy. Enterprises and government institutions should strictly perform as requested, and the government also should supervise and urge them from time to time, to make sure every enterprises and government institutions have implement this policy well. I think with forceful execution, such event like Mr. Zhao's would not be occured, at least the situation will be improved. For that bank clerk Ms Zhou who is sitting and working under air-conditioner but still could get such high High-temperature Allowance, compared with Mr. Zhao, it is extremely unfair. Well I'm not complaining the civil servants getting more allowance, I just think the workers should be well treated as well, as workers have the same rights as civil servants! |

I feel a little bit furious about the High Temperature Allowance given to the civil servants whose work environment is cool with air conditioners. First the allowance should be assigned to the workmen who are suffering from the extreme hot for long hours every day, coz this is the very money for them according to the definition of this allowance. In additon, for those people who have a job in state-owned bank, government office and any other institutes working indoors with strong central air condition, it is a big joke for them to take this allowance, i can still not understand how this kind of funny thing has happened!!!
