This year we organize the International Conference of Numerical Analysis and Applied Mathematics 2013 (ICNAAM 2013), in Rhodes, Greece,  Rhodos Palace Hotel: https://www.rodos-palace.gr/ , 21-27/09/2013. URL address: https://www.icnaam.org/ (the page is under construction for ICNAAM 2013) .

Within ICNAAM 2013 we will celebrate the 60th birthday of Prof. Dr. J.M. Sanz-Serna.

SESSIONS AND MINISYMPOSIA WHICH

193) Title: "Harmonic Analysis and Fractal Analysis and Its Application on Local Fields"

Organizer:  Professor Dr. Bo Wu School of Applied Mathematics, Nanjing University of Finance & Economics.

The theory and applications of Fourier analysis on local fields are gaining relevance since they are used in the modeling of different processes in physics, chemistry, and engineering. The concept of fractals is proposed by Mandelbrot firstly. And Fractal study soon becomes the core contents of Nonlinear Science.

Recently, several attempts have been done to join the two subjects. The subject is still much evolving, and contributions joining the two areas are particularly welcome.

The list of topics includes, but is not limited to the following:

Fourier analysis on local fields;
Fractional differential equations;
Fractals;
Chaos;
Applications to real world problems.

Call for PapersThe conference will have the following format:

1. Plenary lectures (only after invitation)

2. Original papers (selected based on extended abstracts of 3-4 A4 pages)

3. Posters (selected similarly to original papers)

Plenary lectures

Will cover major accomplishments, trends, and technical challenges in numerical analysis and applied mathematics, and on selected fields of research.

Duration: 1 hour.

Presentation of papers

Accepted papers will be divided into several sessions. The full program will be announced later.

Duration: 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of discussion.

PAPERS IN THE FORM OF EXTENDED ABSTRACTS (3-4 A4 PAGES) SHOULD BE SENT TO THE SECRETARY NO LATER THAN 20 JULY 2013.

Attention: If a participant wishes to send a paper to a Symposium (see https://www.icnaam.org/Sessions_Minisymposia.htm),  he must use the e-mail address(es) of the organizer(s) of the specific Symposium.
