| The result shows that the softening point of resin in the dichloromethane solution is higher 50oC than in the methylbenzene solution. The maximum softening point of prepared pentadiene resin reached 139oC which was the highest value in this area. The resin softening point increased as increase of temperature as well as slightly decreased as increase of catalyst amount. |

| The results showed that softening point of the resin was 50 oC higher using methyllene chloride as solvent instead of toluene. The prepared 1,3-pentadiene resin had a softening point up to 139 oC, which is the highest among current reports. The softening point of the resin increased with the increase of reaction temperature, but only changed slightly with the increased amount of catalyst. |
