他们公司说的区别我就不说了 所说个人的感受： DMol3采用数值原子轨道基函数,并且采用Hartree势的多级展开方法,因此DMol3的计算速度较快.但是它的精度不如Gaussian,由于它计算速度较快,且可以自动判断体系的能量最低的自旋多重度,因此常可以用其计算结果作为初步结果。 CASTEP是从头算量子力学程序，他基于基于总能量赝势方法，理论基础是电荷密度泛函理论在局域电荷密度近似或是梯度修正的版本，这是由Perdew 和 Wang所发展的GGA。所描述的电子气体交互作用被认为是对大部分的状况都是够精确的，并且他是唯一能实际有效分析周期性系统的理论方法。 所以计算周期性体系，一定要用Castep，他的精度笔Gaussian计算晶体还要高。如果是计算分子，建议还是用Gaussian。 不过，Castep现在也可以计算单个分子，他的精度和Gaussian差不过，只是计算方法不一样。 |

The Spin keyword is used to specify the spin state of an unrestricted SCF calculation. The value of Spin is twice the z-component of the wave function, equal to the number of unpaired electrons. If the spin is different than 0, then the calculation results in an excited state with the Spin value being the number of unpaired electrons. If a value of 0 is provided, then DMol3 automatically determines the lowest spin occupation. As a result of the above usage, it is not possible to use this keyword to force open-shell UKS singlet states to be singlets. Providing an input value of "0" tells DMol3 to optimize the spin state, not to freeze the value of the spin at a singlet state. 具体如何自动判断体系的能量最低的自旋多重度。估计只有看他们的源代码了。 |
