We used SAS software (SAS; Cary, North Carolina) for the statistical analyses. The number of live-born infants for the appropriate period was used as the denominator of the rates. The estimate of prevalence and its 95% CI for each diagnosis code by sex and calendar year were calculated by using Proc Genmod with Poisson distribution. For the estimate of 95% CI, we applied a 2-tailed test and an alpha level of 0.05 so that the 95% CIs provide limits of estimates with the P value equal to .025 and .975. |
